Sharing samba di linux / windows
agar data kita di linux dapat diakses dari windows atau dari windows dapat diakses dari linux atau dapat dibaca dari komputer linux kamu ke komputer linux lain tinggal menggunakan samba.
Samba (server message block) adalah protokol file sharing dan printer sharing untuk menyaingi protokol yang telah ada yakni Novell’s IPX-based. SMB ini merupakan protokol file sharing dan printer sharing pertama yang dapat berjalan pada multi protokol: TCP/IP, NetBEUI, IPX/SPX. Dengan kata lain SMB server dapat menggantikan posisi Novell server tanpa harus merubah infrastruktur dari jaringan itu sendiri.
caranya :
abdul@juriglinux#pstree
abdul@juriglinux#pstree | grep mbd
abdul@juriglinux#vi /etc/samba/smb.conf
ganti configurasi dibawah ini :
workgroup = SIGMADELTA -> nama workgroup
server string = Samba Server -> keterangan samba server
hosts allow = 192.168.10.1 -> identifikasi allow host
atau bisa di mark saja.
[shared]
comment = Sourcenya anu abdul
path = /home/source
force user = abdul
force group = users
read only = Yes
simpan dengan :wq
abdul@juriglinux#/etc/rc.d/rc.samba restart
Restarting samba: /usr/sbin/smbd -D
/usr/sbin/nmbd -D
dengan demikian proses sharing folder selesai dan datapun bisa diakses di komputer lain, mudah kan.. jangan lupa setting permission.

- Mengecek samba service
caranya :
abdul@juriglinux#pstree
abdul@juriglinux#pstree | grep mbd
- File Konfigurasi
abdul@juriglinux#vi /etc/samba/smb.conf
ganti configurasi dibawah ini :

- Aktifkan samba

Hello there Blogger, I thought I would check out some blog sites for info I could use at my website. I started out looking for mp3 music sharing related stuff but there's so much info out there about everything, I kind of got lost. I get sidetracked easily these days.
